Welcome to

STEAM includes Science, Technology, Engineering, Aeronautics, and Math. These students learn through auditory methods and operate under the motto “Think.” Students in these careers focus on more technical careers requiring attention to small details.

Get a Head Start

The STEAM Academy exists to ignite and nurture creative, ethical scientific minds that are prepared to attend college or join innovative career/vocational fields. The STEAM Academy provides teaching and learning experiences that focus on imagination, inquiry, and interdisciplinary problem-solving to foster critical thinking. The Academy also strives to establish small learning communities housed within the larger high school environment, designed to encompass a particular career pathway and personalize education through experiences with experts in the fields.

Enriched Education

Our vision is to empower students to think critically and be prepared to join innovative career/vocational fields because of an enriched education and learning environment focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, Aerospace, and Mathematics.

STEAM Teacher

Barb Morehead

“Students (in the STEAM academy) are given access to exceptional instructors with experience to explore opportunities to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills, in addition to technical skill. Students actively participating can decide on post-secondary programs (education or career) that meet their skills, abilities, and interests.”
